elementary math books online
This is embarrassing but…I can’t do math…help!?

I am getting ready to take my placement test to start courses in college (I have been out of school for 6 years). I have NEVER been good at math. I printed the practice booklet, and I was so ashamed when I realized I had no idea even where to start. I have to take the arithmetic and elementary algebra sections. Is there anywhere online (or books) that could help me prepare for this? Please no rude answers.

I am thinking, if you truly have no idea how to do even basic arithmatic then you should look to books at the 3rd – 5th grade level (US).
These books will have topics such as : adding, subtracting, division, and multiplying whole numbers, fractions and decimals. It should go into Percentages, perhpaps ratios, etc.
this is a great place to begin though, master this material very well before moving on to the next level. However, this is not something you will do overnight, this would take time to learn and it is not something you can do one or two times and say you know it. We’re humans and only learn through repetition and we need to continue to use it or we forget it too.
